I am thrilled to welcome our scholars, families, and staff back to school. I hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful 2023-2024 school year as we "Nurture a Culture of Excellence" at Charleston Development Academy Public Charter School. Our incredible staff of educators have been in school throughout the summer to prepare classrooms for the new school year. We are grateful to our fantastic environmental specialists, who worked all summer resetting our campuses for the new school year. Thanks to our administrative team for working hard to ensure a smooth start for staff, students, and families. Charleston Development Academy is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our school and have high expectations for every scholar. Our scholars are kind, compassionate, and inquisitive. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with scholars to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our motto for this year is "Nurture a Culture of Excellence"- this will guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful school environment. We aim to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning. When the school year is underway, you will receive regular newsletters, notices, and updates from the school. Please be sure to check your email, child(ren) ’s backpacks, and our Facebook page so you can stay current with upcoming events and the high-level learning taking place in our community. While newsletters and social media are great communication methods, I welcome meeting you in person. I look forward to the start of the new school year and continuing our collaboration to provide our scholars with an effective and engaging educational experience. Our CDA family always prioritized working together as a caring and compassionate learning community with professionalism, teamwork, action, and expertise.
